unwind

A quiet way to talk things through. Speak, but let the words rest before they travel.

What is Unwind?

Unwind brings together two gentle practices — Nonviolent Communication and the talking circle — into a slow way of working things through, one letter at a time.

Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

A way to speak honestly without blame. Instead of attacking, you share four things: what you Observed (just the facts), how you Feel, the Need underneath that feeling, and a clear, doable Request. Unwind's AI gently reshapes your raw words into this form — you always choose, and can edit, before anything is sent.

How Unwind works

Write freely what's on your heart. The AI reshapes it into honest, nonviolent words — you read it, choose a style, and can edit before it's final. The letter then rests a while before it can be sent — so heat can cool. You send one letter, then it's the other person's turn. In a group, the turn travels around the circle.

Private by design

Letters are encrypted before they're stored, so they stay between you. Length, waiting time, and any shared agreements are decided together — nothing changes unless everyone agrees.

When it helps most

Tense conversations you keep avoiding, repairing a relationship, families or partners working through something hard — any time you want to be understood without the fight. It rewards slowness: a letter a day, not a rapid back-and-forth.
